Who We’re Looking For
The Housing Grant and Building Control Team seeks an Apprentice to assist officers in vetting Building Regulation applications and carry out inspections under the guidance of a qualified Building Control Officer to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations. You will also assist in assessing reported dangerous structures as per the Building Act.
We seek someone committed, eager to learn, enthusiastic about building control, with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine interest in the field.
Entry Requirements
Must possess 5 GCSEs at A-C including Maths, English, and a Science subject or equivalent.
What Will You Study?
All Apprentices will be supported to complete a Level 3 qualification in Construction and the Built Environment (Building Surveying).
Pay and Duration
This is a fixed-term, two-year post starting in September. Pay depends on age:
* 21 & over: £12.21
* 18-20: £10.00
* Under 18: £7.55

Note: Applications from those who have already gained a similar Level 3 qualification in the same role are not eligible.
