We Are Looking For
The Director, Finance position develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customers and products. The position provides the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives while maximizing the return on investment. In addition, creates and executes a business plan that is aligned with the property and brand’s business strategy and focuses on the execution of financial and accounting activities and the delivery of desirable financial results.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies, maintain a strong control environment, and uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance and accounting functions, implementing best practices, optimizing processes, and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
* Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term strategic plans and financial objectives for the electrical segment, ensuring alignment with overall company goals Provide day-to-day accounting and financial guidance to leadership and operating teams across the organization and at the divisional level
* Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, highlighting key performance indicators and insights
* Manage and direct day-to-day financial and accounting reporting systems, implementing scalable systems to support business expansion
* Preparation of business cases for capital expenditure requests and overall responsibility for the quality and integrity of the requests raised by the location
* Consolidate capital assets, maintenance, and company operating budgets, check appropriate requests against approved budgets for funds availability before commitment, and exercise accounting control to ensure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed authorized amounts
* Interpret operating results as they affect the organization's financial aspects and make specific recommendations that will result in cost reduction and profit improvement
* Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls through the calendarized programs and Internal Audit team assessments
* Coordinates preparation of external audit materials as required
* Manage and respond to various ad-hoc Corporate Headquarters and Tax requests as required. Work with other locations as needed
* Evaluate and maintain a team in the global finance organization; recommend training, new hires, or terminations when appropriate
* Assist the CFO in forecasting and annual budgeting processes
* Performs other duties as assigned
What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills):
* Bachelor’s Degree preferred
* 7+ years of Finance/Accounting leadership or managerial roles in the aerospace industry
* Proficiency in Quantum is a plus
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Track record of achievement
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
* Goal-oriented
* Knowledge of related financial processes
* Team player and ability to motivate the team members
Special Requirements:
* Citizen, Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) orasylee/refugee status as defined by 8 1324b(a)(3) required.
