Planner – Water InfrastructureLocation: East Anglia / Hybrid
The OpportunityWe are working with a major UK infrastructure alliance delivering a significant proportion of a regional waterpany’s capital investment programme. As the business prepares for its largest and most ambitious Asset Management Period to date (AMP8), it is expanding its planning capability to support an increasinglyplex and innovative portfolio of work.
The uing programme includes large‑scale civil engineering schemes alongside environmentally focused solutions such as sustainable drainage and nature‑based infrastructure. The Role
As a Planner, you will support the successful delivery of multidisciplinary water and wastewater projects through robust programme development, coordination, and progress control. Working as part of an integrated delivery team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate project schedules, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting informed decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, update and maintain detailed project programmes in line with client and alliance requirements.
2. Participate in collaborative planning and programme review sessions with delivery teams.
3. Track progress, analyse impacts to key milestones, andmunicate programme risks effectively.
4. Support the coordination of construction methodologies to ensure consistency across plans.
5. Produce clear programme outputs, including reports and visual planning tools where required.
6. Attend site as needed to gather progress updates and validate programme assumptions.
7. Ensure alignment between programme forecasts and cost information.
8. Promote planning best practice andpliance with established processes and standards.
About You
9. Proven experience in planning roles within civil engineering or infrastructure delivery environments.
10. Background in the water sector or a similar regulated environment.
11. Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
12. Confidentmunicator, able to engage effectively with site and office‑based teams.
13. Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
14. Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
15. Clearmitment to health, safety and quality standards.
