We are a small residential care home for older people a warm friendly "home from home" for our residents giving person centered care to a very high standard. We are presently looking to enhance our team by recruiting a compassionate Senior Care Assistant on a permanent basis to cover daytime and waking night duties.
This role is ideal for an EXPERIENCED Senior Care Assistant who is looking for a new opportunity, and a slower pace, working from 36 to 48 hours on a flexible basis to include Mainly Days with the occasional need to cover holidays for waking nights. We also require a Night Shifts Senior and a sleeping night shift care assistant for 4 nights a week.
As a hands on holistic Senior Care Assistant, you will be an ambassador of our home at all times and always promoting a professional and caring image of the home whilst championing our 7 core values; Caring, Compassion, Kindness, Patients, Professionalism, Positivity and Respect.
The role is vital as you are the most important part of our offering. You will be:
· Able to demonstrate a genuine desire to deliver high quality compassionate person centered care, even if it takes a bit longer.
· You will always be respectful of residents' choices, dignity and independence.
· You will be caring and attentive with the skills to build strong and trusting relationships with both the residents and the whole team.
You will be responsible for the physical and emotional wellbeing of the residents you support, this will include but not be limited to:
· Help with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing.
· Help with mobility around the home.
· Prepare, cook and/or serve meals and drinks.
· Generally keeping the home clean and tidy
· Provide Companionship
Carry out risk assessments and update care plans.

Essential Requirements
Must have experience of running a shift whilst being hands on.
Must have experience of creating and updating care plans
Must be able to book in and administer medications.
Must be able to carry out risk assessments for residents.
Must have moving and handling experience.
Must be able to deal with conflict.
Must have experience with challenging behaviour.
Must be able to demonstrate an awareness of CQC fundamental requirements.
