R&R Fire and Security Limited is a long established but growing company specialising in data cabling, IT infrastructure, and fire and security installations and maintenance. We work with major retailers across remodels, new projects, and ongoing maintenance projects.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a highly organised and proactive Facilities Coordinator to join our team.
Role Description
This is a key position within the business as our sole Facilities Coordinator, offering real responsibility and the opportunity to grow with the company. You will play a central role in coordinating projects, supporting engineers, and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Facilities Coordinator located in Wickford. The Facilities Coordinator will oversee day-to-day facility operations and ensure smooth functioning across all sites. Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, assisting with budgeting, and addressing facility-related concerns or inquiries. The individual will work closely with the facility management team to support operational efficiency and deliver exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate teams of engineers across multiple projects
* Schedule and monitor jobs to ensure deadlines are met
* Support Project Managers with ordering materials and plant hire
* Liaise with suppliers to secure materials
* Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
* Approve and manage weekly timesheets
* Monitor job costs and support budget control
* Manage maintenance contracts, reporting, and remedial works
* Schedule planned and reactive maintenance works
* Complete Work in Progress (WIP) reporting with accounts
* Ensure permits are in place before works commence
* Provide general administrative and office support
About You
* Previous experience in an administrative role (ideally within construction, engineering, or similar)
* Previous experience with Simpro advantageous
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks
* Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
