The Health & Safety and Environmental advisor, will provide expert (SHE) advice to project teams, including managers, design and operational teams, contractors, and also stakeholders. The role ensures compliance with relevant SHE management systems, UK legislation, and industry standards, particularly within rail infrastructure environments such as London Underground and Network Rail. Responsibilities include: conducting audits and site inspections, coordinating safety across multiple interfaces, supporting incident investigations, and promoting a strong safety culture. The role also involves reviewing risk assessments, safe systems of work, and construction phase plans to ensure CDM 2015 compliance. The successful candidate will deliver training and toolbox talks, engage with safety committees, and maintain accurate safety records and reports for senior leadership and joint coordination groups. Strong stakeholder collaboration and the ability to manage safety requirements across shared project environments are essential.
