Overview
Pay and hours: Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week; if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too.

The times you are available to work are shown in the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. Responsibilities

* Carrying out clean-as-you-go routines using the appropriate tools.
* Keeping aisles clear of congestion when replenishing or picking products.
* Working in a clean, tidy and organized manner and removing any equipment that needs cleaning from use.
* Following the warehouse/storage plan and putting everything back in its place.
* Ensuring trays used for picking are clean and removing dirty trays to be cleaned.
* Regularly replenishing products so customers can get what they want, prioritizing items that matter most.
* Knowing where products have moved after merchandising activity and pulling stock forward.
* Keeping the warehouse organized with items returned to their proper places and completing stock routines accurately and on time.
* Picking online customer orders accurately with high quality and freshness, completing substitutions as required.
* Ensuring items picked are of the highest standard of quality and freshest possible date for perishable items.
* Building relationships with colleagues to foster teamwork and ensure the store delivers for customers.
* Engaging with customers and colleagues in a warm and welcoming manner, understanding customer needs and thanking them.
* Responding quickly to changing customer needs and embracing change within the store.
* Being energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations and balance home and work appropriately.
* Sharing ideas with management and colleagues on how to improve the store for customers.

Qualifications and Requirements
Note: Tesco will only recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. For the country-specific school leaver age, please inquire during application. Some roles require working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm, and/or working in areas such as warehouse, beers, wines & spirits, counters, bakery and driving roles; candidates must meet these criteria as applicable.
