Main duties of the job
Respond to requests for information promptly and efficiently using a variety of communication methods, ensuring that Trust Customer Service standards are adhered to.
Ensure information is accurate and meets Trust Standards regarding delivering information. The post holder will be multi-skilled and have a good working knowledge of waiting list templates, PTL management, theatre capacity and demand issues, and acknowledge the national, local and specialist targets that have to be achieved.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Perform an ambassadorial role, representing the Pre-op Department administration service acting in a professional, courteous and customer-focused manner at all times.
Contact patients with bookings information, liaise with other departments to schedule patients as appropriate, answer telephone and email queries, take messages, direct where appropriate, meet and greet and provide assistance directing visitors to the department to appropriate locations.
Maintain confidentiality at all times as required by legislation and Trust Policy.
Data Entry /Clinic Preparation.

Qualifications & Educatio
Essential criteria
1. Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
2. ECDL or equivalent experience
3. Efficient in the use of Microsoft Windows applications.
Desirable criteria
4. Typing Qualification to RSA level 3
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
5. Experienced in the use of Quadramed.
6. Understanding of the Waiting List processes including 18 week pathways.
7. Understanding of theatre scheduling
8. Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
9. Experience in working under pressure, managing a large workload and working as part of a team.
