Import / Export Operations Co-ordinator working within this fantastic company
We are recruiting for a dynamic, service driven individual to join our team of freight agents handling all aspects of import and export operations. Working with and assisting the project managers on large projects as and when required. The role is mainly Air, and Sea is advantage, along with Imports and Exports, however, is you have one they will train on the other.
Duties will involve providing a high level of customer service to several major clients as well as dealing with all aspects of Freight operations from start to finish including, but not limited to:
· Investigating and planning the most appropriate route for a shipment, taking account of the client’s
requirements including deadline for delivery, nature of the goods, cost, transit time and security.
· Negotiating rates with carriers and managing transportation and handling costs.
· Obtaining, checking and preparing AWB’s and Bills of Lading along with all other necessary
documentation and packing specifications.
· Monitoring shipments at all times via online tools and carrier contacts and ensuring relevant and
prompt updates are provided to the project managers.
· Arranging all aspects of transport for urgent freight collections and deliveries, managing thoroughly
any risk door to door.
· Acting as broker in customs negotiations worldwide to guide the freight efficiently through complex
procedures. Have confidence in moving freight globally and understand foreign customs
procedures.
· Arranging courier and specialist hand-carry services where required by the client or project
manager.
· Maintain concise communication with clients and the project manager through all phases of the
project and set clear expectations if necessary.
·Managing customs import and export processes, including declarations and Carnet completion
· Providing quotations to clients and the project manager in a timely manner
· Liaising with customers, suppliers and colleagues via e-mail and phone and managing
communications in a timely and efficient manner.

Salary on offer - up to c£35k
