Job Title: Principal Engineer
Location: Egham, Surrey
Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE
Hours: 39 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 8:00am-5:00pm, Fri 8:00am-1:00pm)
We're not just another engineering firm - we're a world leader in commercial and military aircraft crew seating. We operate 24/7 across the globe, supporting airlines and operators with AOG response, spares, repair services, and technical expertise.
We're now looking for a Principal Engineer to join our engineering team in Egham. This is a key role in leading the technical and strategic development of our next-generation aerospace seating and systems - a perfect opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take on more responsibility and make a real impact.
What You'll Do
* Lead internal development projects that push the boundaries of aircraft seating and systems
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver innovative engineering solutions
* Drive technical strategy and help shape our long-term R&D roadmap
* Approve detailed designs, certification packages, and CAD outputs using our PLM systems
* Mentor and coordinate engineers working on cutting-edge programmes
* Represent the engineering team in customer and supplier meetings
* Support certification, qualification testing, and Airworthiness Authority submissions
* Champion safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the department
What You'll Bring
* A solid background in aerospace or a related engineering field
* Experience managing complex technical projects from concept through to delivery
* Familiarity with CAD systems and data management tools
* A strong grasp of certification and qualification processes
* Confident communicator and team coordinator, with a proactive mindset
* A passion for innovation and high engineering standards
