Job Description
Following a period of sustained growth across our services and markets, Occam Group is seeking an organised and proactive Business Administrator to support the smooth running of our day‑to‑day operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in keeping things running efficiently, and can work confidently across different business functions. You will play a key part in supporting our teams, systems and processes, contributing to both daily operations and longer‑term business activity.
Duties to include
The successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities supporting tactical (day-to-day) and strategic (longer term) business operations. This include, but are not limited to:
* Provide day‑to‑day administrative support across business operations
* Assist with finance tasks (e.g., transaction reconciliations, expense and bill payments)
* Maintain and update business management systems and records
* Support the IT team with equipment orders, fault reporting, returns and asset tracking
* Coordinate IT setup and equipment for new starters
* Support the Security team with access management and compliance processes
* Issue and track keys, passes and visitor credentials
* Manage personnel security checks for new starters
* Oversee facilities tasks including post handling, office supplies and general office coordination
* Manage meeting rooms and visitor arrangements
* Liaise with building/facilities teams for maintenance and inspection activities
* Support HR with interview logistics and onboarding administration
* Verify and securely store candidate ID documents
* Manage external service providers (databases, subscriptions, contract tracking)
* Support marketing activities, campaigns, events and exhibitions
* Manage client portals, enquiries and related documentation
* Provide general administrative support to internal teams as needed

Requirements
Essential Requirements
* Experienced administrator with strong organisational skills
* Confident working across multiple functions and priorities
* Able to build positive working relationships across teams
* Comfortable handling confidential information
* Proactive approach and a willingness to learn
* Experience in a consultancy, technical or regulated environment
* Familiarity with IT administration or security clearance processes
* Knowledge of office/facilities coordination
* Experience supporting HR or recruitment activities
* Strong attention to detail
