People Advisor

MacGregor Black are partnering with a Manufacturing Business in search of a People Advisor, based in Norfolk or East Anglia.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a first point of contact for people-related queries, providing clear, accurate and timely advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Support line managers with day-to-day people management, including absence management, performance concerns, disciplinary and grievance matters.
* Guide and coach managers on effective employee relations, ensuring fair and legally compliant processes.
* Assist in coordinating recruitment processes, working closely with hiring managers to attract and secure the right talent.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law, company policies, and HR best practices to provide sound, pragmatic advice.
* Support the implementation and communication of HR policies, ensuring understanding and compliance across teams.
* Contribute to projects aimed at improving HR processes, documentation, and operational efficiency.
* Work with Occupational Health and other stakeholders to manage wellbeing, absence, and return-to-work processes.
* Keep HR systems and employee records accurate and up to date, supporting data integrity and reporting requirements.
* Collaborate with the Senior People Business Partner to deliver consistent, high-quality people services across the business.
What We’re Looking For
* A trusted and approachable advisor, able to build strong working relationships at all levels of the business.
* Someone with excellent communication skills, confident in providing clear guidance and handling sensitive matters with discretion.
* A proactive team player who is organised, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
* Good understanding of UK employment law and HR processes, with practical experience in handling ER cases.
* Previous experience in an HR Advisor, People Advisor, or similar role, ideally in a manufacturing or operational environment.
* Someone who acts with integrity, fairness, and professionalism, always promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider HR/People team.
Salary up to £40k + benefits.
