The Public Cloud Engineer will implement cloud architecture (on AWS, GCP and Azure) that enables the infrastructure (compute, database network, storage, observability) required for application hosting in public cloud using Citi’s engineering processes and best practices, with particular emphasis on automation and security by design.
Experience essentials (Non-negotiable):
1. Developer experience across multiple languages – Java, Python etc.
2. Cloud platforms, more than once cloud AWS, GCP or Azure,
3. Has built CICD / SDLC pipelines for example Terraform and Harness
4. Performed as tech lead within a specialist domain eg. tech lead for container or data platforms
Value add experience:
5. Networking, transit gateways, proxy, NSG, SG, Load Balancers, VPCs
6. Cloud security (wiz, sentinel)
7. Compute in cloud Amazons EKS, Faregate, Lambda, Google GKE, AKS, Argo CD, Storage S3, EFS, EBS or GCS, blob
8. Data services: Cloud Databases, Machine learning, analytics
9. Messaging Pub/Sub services such as Kafka, Rabbit MQ
10. Cache / search technologies such as Elasticache / Elasti search
11. API services such as apigee / kong
12. Elementary, Observability and monitoring
13. Identity and access management, dynamic keys and certificates
14. Test driven development
15. More than 5-7 years of cloud real world experience, any where, not just a bank
