The Role
– Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Working within a team of three engineers on shift and reporting into the Engineering Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance across a wide range of industrial machinery.
Core Responsibilities
1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive repairs
2. Log all completed work using the CMMS system
3. Electrical troubleshooting across site equipment
4. Mechanical repair work as needed
5. Support breakdowns, plant improvements and reliability activities
Electrical Focus
6. Electrical fault finding on heavy industrial machinery
7. Working with inverters, contactors, relays, overloads, pressure switches, drives
8. Siemens PLC I/O checking
9. Supporting the development of electrical PPM routines
10. Reactive electrical maintenance (electrical PPMs currently being expanded)
Mechanical Exposure
11. Replacing bearings, gearboxes, rollers and mechanical components
12. Working on conveyors, screens, crushers and similar equipment
13. Strip-downs, rebuilds and general mechanical support
What You’ll Need
14. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering
15. Comfortable with both electrical and mechanical fault finding
16. Experience within an industrial/manufacturing environment
17. Motivated, reliable and a strong team player
Salary & Benefits
18. £41k - £45k
