CHEC is seeking an experienced and passionate Consultant Dermatologist to join our sessional workforce. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, providing high-quality dermatology services to a diverse patient population. You will manage complex cases, provide leadership, and contribute to the development of our department.
Candidates must be able to work independently. Our community dermatology service manages a wide range of adult dermatological conditions that would otherwise be referred to secondary care, offering patients rapid access to secondary care opinions at our clinics.
The Role
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Providing expert dermatological care to diagnose, treat, and manage various skin conditions, including complex cases.
2. Developing and improving clinical care pathways for patient management.
3. Participating in outpatient clinics as required.
4. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient care.
5. Contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
6. Maintaining GMC registration with a license to practice.
7. Having GMC Specialist Register or Consultant-level experience in dermatology.
8. Having personal indemnity coverage for all patient care within this role.
9. Providing evidence of recent appraisal.
10. Demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
