Overview
Daleview is a regional low secure forensic environment providing accommodation to 10 males with a learning disability. The unit is funded by the four Health Board areas that form the learning disability Managed Care Network.
Responsibilities
* Plan, organise and deliver a programme of activities in-house and within the community.
* Be creative, resourceful and a trauma-informed practitioner; work effectively as a strong team member with excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Provide a wide range of activities to interest and stimulate the physical and mental wellbeing of the patient group.
* Promote the philosophy of social inclusion and independence; motivate, guide and engage patients in activity programmes using risk‑focused approaches.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Experience or ability to work as an Activity and Therapeutic Support Worker within a forensic/learning disability setting (trauma-informed practice is desirable).
* Ability to work across full and part-time hours across seven days.
* Must become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.

Notes
