Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Supervisor – Onshore Landfall Representative (contract). The role will involve working at the Redcar site office on an energy transition project as part of an IPMT team.
The Role
As the Onshore Landfall Representative you will be responsible for the planning and execution of the onshore scopes (landfall, outlet facility and onshore pipeline) within the offshore project. The working hours will be up to 7 days a week, 12‑hour days, with a rotation/leave schedule to be agreed.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the Installation Contractor at the landfall works location during all project phases.
* Monitor all facets of work within the landfall works scope to ensure that schedule, technical, quality and HSES requirements are met or improved upon.
* Review and monitor the installation contractor’s readiness process to ensure progressive preparation for all phases of site activities and that this is documented.
* Report to the onshore construction lead on a daily and weekly basis, identifying all issues that present a risk to the site works and, where applicable, offering mitigating measures/work plans.
* Ensure that all landfall work activities are performed in compliance with project technical requirements and are fit for purpose.
* Identify and resolve detailed interface issues, in conjunction with other site contractors, in an efficient and effective manner.
* Coordinate with other client disciplines regarding quality, HSE and engineering.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in the onshore/offshore construction industry, especially with landfalls, overland pipelines and Above‑Ground Installation facilities.
* Sound experience in overseeing on‑site contractors.
* Ability to develop good working relationships with contractors and their personnel and to collaborate on problem solving.
* Strong communication skills to represent the project before third parties and other stakeholders in a professional and organized manner.
* Good knowledge of pipeline and piping welding and NDE techniques.
