IOLLA is a direct to consumer, independent retailer of high quality eyewear; designed in house and enjoyed worldwide through our online and physical spaces. Our mission is to become the most popular prescription eyewear brand wherever we are, and we want you to help get us there! We are looking for an inspiring and motivated Retail Store Assistant Manager who loves working with people and inspiring a team to deliver a spectacular customer experience. Working within our busy West George Street showroom, you will have a passion for eyewear, fashion and exceeding customer expectations!
What You’ll Do
 * Play an integral role within our retail store team, working collaboratively with our store manager to achieve sales, an outstanding end-to-end customer experience and operational excellence.
 * Lead and inspire the team to be their best, supporting with all aspects of people management from recruitment and on‑boarding to training and performance reviews.
 * Lead from the front through the delivery of an elevated styling experience through customer styling sessions.
 * Drive high standards of visual merchandising to ensure the showroom always looks its best, applying commercial knowledge and insights to make positive changes.
 * Support with all aspects of Store Operations; rota planning, stock management and H&S.
 * Be the local community face of IOLLA! You will represent IOLLA and play a key role in building an IOLLA community in Glasgow city centre organising and leading showroom events.
 * Seek local community opportunities for partnership – with everything from local influencer partnerships to local groups and businesses to build relationships with.
 * Contribute to the development of the brand by providing local insights, trends and overall opportunities that support growth.

 * You have at least 1 year experience in retail management in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment (experience within an optical retail environment is preferred but not essential)
 * You have a passion for style and keeping up to date on key seasonal trends.
 * You enjoy delivering an outstanding customer experience and build rapport naturally.
 * You are a driven and motivated individual with a passion for people and delivering stand‑out brand experiences, with the ability to drive high standards within a team.
 * You can drive performance and results.
 * You thrive working in a team and can work independently, too.
 * You are proficient in Google Suite and CRM software.
