Employment Solicitor | 2 PQE | Manchester A broad employment role within a specialist commercial practice, offering hands-on responsibility across advisory, contentious and transactional matters. This position provides early autonomy, strong partner access and a clear route to long-term progression within a well-regarded regional employment team. What You'll Be Doing You will join a specialist Employment team advising employers and employees on the full spectrum of employment law, with a particular emphasis on employer-side advisory work and Tribunal litigation. Running your own caseload of Employment Tribunal matters, from case strategy to advocacy where appropriate Advising business owners, HR teams and managers on day-to-day employment and HR issues Managing senior exits, negotiating settlement agreements and handling sensitive board-level matters Leading on redundancy, restructure and consultation processes, including collective consultation Advising on TUPE transfers in business sales, outsourcing and corporate transactions Drafting and updating contracts, service agreements, handbooks and policies Supporting the corporate team on employment aspects of transactions Working closely with colleagues on complex, business-critical workforce issues Contributing to the development of thought-leadership content and client updates About You You will be an ambitious Employment Solicitor with a solid grounding across both advisory and contentious work, and the confidence to manage your own matters and client relationships. 2 PQE with experience handling a mixed employment workload Strong experience in Tribunal litigation and case management Skilled in advising on restructures, TUPE and senior-level exits Able to deliver clear, commercial advice to business leaders and HR teams Comfortable working directly with clients and managing competing deadlines Interested in business development and building your own profile within the team A proactive, collaborative lawyer who enjoys taking ownership of matters Ambitious for progression, with partnership potential for the right person What's on Offer You will join a respected North West employment practice known for high-quality work, strong client relationships and a pragmatic, commercial approach.
