Overview
We are seeking a healthcare assistant to join our night team in providing quality care within our residential care home. We are a lovely small home providing care for up to 16 residents who have a range of different needs. You will be expected to carry out a range of different tasks including-
-Personal care
-Help with toileting
* The administration of medication
* To carry out regular checks on residents throughout the night
* Assist with food and drinks
* To carry out some domestic tasks
* To fill out documentation accurately
-Shift times are 21:00-8:00
-You will need to be able to work alternate weekends
Experience in care is desirable although full training can be provided.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the implementation of care plans under the guidance of healthcare professionals
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
* Utilize IT systems for documentation and information retrieval
-To be punctual, professional and honest
-To have working knowledge of our homes policies and procedures
-To have working knowledge of our homes health and safety and COSHH environmental regulations
Skills
- Proficient in English to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills to interact compassionately with residents
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.26-£12.31 per hour
Expected hours: 33 per week
