Job Title: Project Administrator Apprentice
Apprenticeship: Project Administrator (Business / Project Administration Standard)
Location: Billingshurst
Salary: £18,000 - £24,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time
Next Step Apprenticeships is working with a local employer to recruit a Project Administrator Apprentice to support the coordination and administration of installation-based projects.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and keen to build a career in project administration. You will gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Key Responsibilities (Apprentice Level)
* Supporting Project Managers with the creation of projects and basic project plans
* Assisting with site setup activities prior to installation
* Helping prepare for pre-start meetings and carrying out basic site survey checks
* Supporting the monitoring of project schedules and progress
* Liaising with internal teams to assist with all aspects of installation administration
* Creating, maintaining, and issuing project documentation
* Completing paperwork and contributing to project handover documentation (such as O&M manuals)
* Providing general administrative support to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently
Requirements
* Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail
* Confident working with numbers and basic data
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work well as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and develop within a structured apprenticeship programme
Apprenticeship Information
You will be enrolled on a relevant Project / Business Administration apprenticeship, typically completed over 18 months. This includes:
* Regular workplace-based learning supported by your training provider and line manager
* A minimum of 6 hours per week of off-the-job training
* Development of skills, knowledge, and behaviours aligned to the apprenticeship standard
* Completion of a portfolio and end-point assessment
* Functional Skills support in English and/or Maths if not already achieved at Level 2
Prospects
On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to progress into a permanent Project Administrator or Project Support role, depending on performance and business needs.
