About the role: Porchlight is dedicated to supporting people facing homelessness, poor mental health, and poverty. Our donors are at the heart of everything we do, and we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Fundraising Officer to join our team and help us build genuine, lasting connections with our supporters. As a Fundraising Officer, your week will be varied! While you will be based at our Canterbury office (with a required attendance of every Tuesday to collaborate with the team), you will also benefit from our hybrid working policy. You will be the primary point of contact for our supporters, providing the high-level care, advice, and encouragement that inspires them to champion our cause. You will provide essential administrative support, ensuring every donation is processed accurately and every supporter receives the high-quality care they deserve. You will also play a vital role in engaging with local community groups and businesses to representing Porchlight at events and cheque presentations. Working closely with the wider Fundraising and Communications teams, you will act as a spokesperson for our mission, turning enthusiasm into action. Whether you are delivering a compelling talk to a local school, supporting our network of volunteers, or managing donor records on our CRM database, your work will directly empower our supporters to help us change lives. The role requires: Administrative excellence: You are confident using digital tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems like Raisers Edge to maintain accurate records and manage donor communications. Community-Focused: You have strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to influence and inspire diverse audiences. Organised and Adaptable: You excel at prioritising your workload and are willing to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends as needed to support events. Practical Requirements: You must have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week. 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility required Contract type: Permanent Interview date: 27th May 2026 Please note, salaries are pro-rata for part-time positions.
