Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Agency) Location: Primary Schools in Chester Contract Type: Agency / Supply (Full-time & Part-time opportunities available) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Start Date: Immediate and ongoing opportunities About the Role We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work on behalf of our agency in a range of welcoming primary schools across Chester. These roles involve supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings Assist the class teacher in adapting learning materials to meet individual needs Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using appropriate strategies Support pupils with personal care where required Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and agency staff Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times The Ideal Candidate Will: Have experience working with children with SEN in a primary school or similar setting (essential or highly desirable) Be patient, nurturing, and resilient Have a good understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive practice Be flexible and reliable, with a positive, proactive attitude Hold relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) or equivalent experience Why Work Through Our Agency?
