The Role: We are looking for a proactive leader to join BHP as a Manager or Senior Manager, to manage our Trust and Estate Team, playing a key role in providing specialist Trust tax advice and compliance services. You’ll shape the firm’s Trust tax offering, with the freedom to challenge ideas, drive change, and take ownership from day one. There will be lots to get involved with in this role, but examples of what you’ll be working on are: Develop and lead a specialist Trust and Estate Team at BHP, building on our existing client base and service offerings. Build strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact with a proactive advisory approach and an adaptable manner to suit an eclectic client base consisting of trustees, beneficiaries and the wider family. Work alongside the Private Client tax partners to identify key opportunities within the existing client base and externally. Oversee the compliance aspects of the firm’s 400 Trust clients We’re open to applicants based out of any of our five offices. The Team: Our Trust and Estate Team is part of our Private Client Team. The Private Client Team is made up of around 20 encouraging and forward-thinking professionals who are as committed to each other as they are to our clients. You’ll provide guidance to 10 trainees who work across the Private Client Team and report to the Tax Partners. The Package: Circa £50,000 p/a (Manager) or from £60,000 (Senior Manager) 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays. Pension contributions of 5.3% when you contribute 3.2% Discretionary annual performance based bonus Healthcare cash plan Life cover 3x salary Opportunities for career development and professional growth To thrive in this role, you’ll need: CTA and/or STEP qualified or qualified by experience Strong technical knowledge, through extensive Trust experience Excellent client relationship management skills, with the ability to deliver a quality service The ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues Excellent time management skills in order to meet a variety of strict deadlines Line management experience and strong leadership skills, able to mentor more junior team members Whilst not essential, it would also be great if you have some experience of other taxes.
