Equans Electrician Role - Belfast
Equans is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our team in Belfast on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves carrying out repairs and maintenance in social housing, with a focus on high standards of customer care and satisfaction. Role Overview
The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial properties. The role ensures all electrical work complies with safety standards, regulations, and company policies. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, performing repairs, maintaining electrical equipment, and conducting electrical installation condition reports.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform safe isolation procedures following industry standards and documentations.
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and accessories, ensuring compliance with EAWR, BS wiring regulations, and relevant guidance.
* Inspect and test fixed wiring systems and electrical equipment in service.
* Design, install, commission, and maintain fire detection and alarm systems in domestic premises per BS-6 standards.
* Provide professional customer service and address client inquiries effectively.

Candidate Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
* AM2 certification
* Ability to obtain an ECS gold card if qualifications are older
* Level 3 Award in electrical installations BS standards
* Basic knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in construction
* Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair
* Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
