I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading client who are developing the world's toughest all terrain range extended hybrid vehicles
They are looking for a prototype Build Technician to join their team on a permanent basis to be 5 Days onsite in London
Job Description:
Work closely with members of the Prototype build team to build high-quality, reliable prototype vehicles/bucks & rigs for effective test and development of future vehicles.
Support a diverse range of activities, including vehicle builds, fabrication, rig builds and testing.
Support Prototype vehicle component manufacture. Carry out modifications to components from drawings templates and 3D CAD images.
Develop good working relationships with members of the core Prototype build team to ensure quick problem resolution, and efficient communication of technical issues.
Contribute ideas for vehicle packaging and assembly for systems in all areas.
Maintain the workshop to high Client standards.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Extensive development vehicle build experience, from whole-vehicle down to component level.
Able to build a complete vehicle from a bare shell.
Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle architecture and operation of support equipment.
Competency in fabrication and basic machining skills.
Ability to interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
Attention to detail and the ability to come up with innovative solutions to problems are essential.
Good degree of computer literacy (Word, Excel)
