Payroll Transformation Lead - 2 days a week onsite in Hatfield - Flexible Day Rate - Outside IR35
As the Payroll Transformation Lead, you will lead the development and delivery of the future roadmap requirements, strategic change management, operating model design and capability development required to successfully deliver a target operating model as part of implementing Oracle Payroll. This client currently operate a model where the payroll processing is run externally, this business-critical role ensures a seamless transition to a high-performing, end-to-end in-house function. You will bridge the gap between technical system delivery and operational readiness owning all aspects of developing and delivering the target operating model in full alignment with UK compliance standards.
You will:
- Lead the business through the development and delivery of the payroll transformation requirements
- Assess the current payroll operating model including processes and ways of working to deliver a change readiness assessment across all impacted stakeholders
- Develop and design the Payroll Target Operating Model
- Develop and execute a comprehensive change management strategy including a roadmap of initiatives to support the shift from the current operating model to the Target Operating Model
- Act as the primary advocate for the transformation, managing resistance and driving adoption to new systems and processes across diverse stakeholder groups
- Ensure sustainable knowledge transfer from the systems implementation partner to the business-as-usual team before hypercare concludes
- Ensure compliance with UK regulations and statutory requirements including Payrolling Benefits legislation
You will have:
* Proven experience in delivering Payroll transformation
* In depth knowledge of end-to-end Payroll processes, systems, regulations and compliance requirements and implementing Oracle Payroll in the UK
* Deep functional understanding of Oracle Payroll (UK Legislation)
* Up-to-date, expert knowledge of UK payroll legislation (HMRC regulations including Payrolling Benefits, RTI, auto-enrolment, National Living Wage, and complex premium calculations)
* Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and manage complex Payroll transformation projects
* Familiarity with Time & Attendance systems and their integration into Payroll systems
