Role Overview
As a Partnership Manager at Oxfam GB, you’ll manage a portfolio of high‑value partners and develop strategies to secure new, significant gifts from individual philanthropists, trusts, and foundations. You’ll build and maintain strong relationships, create tailored cultivation and partnership plans, and ensure that each partnership delivers meaningful income, influence and impact in support of Oxfam GB’s strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of high‑value partners, developing strategies to secure new significant gifts.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with individual philanthropists, trusts, foundations and private sector partners.
* Create tailored cultivation and partnership plans and oversee their implementation.
* Ensure each partnership delivers income, influence and impact aligned with Oxfam GB’s priorities.
* Review and analyse programme information, including theories of change, proposals, project updates, reports and budgets.
What we are looking for
* Experience in delivering or contributing to tailored stewardship for high‑value donors and partners, including written communications and engagement activities.
* Experience in engaging with and securing income partnerships with private sector partners, individual donors, charitable trusts and/or foundations.
* Confident communicator with an ability to inspire supporters, colleagues and peers.
* A commitment to giving new prospects, as well as Oxfam’s current partners, the best possible experience and demonstrating the impact of their support on poverty.
* Facilitation and brokering skills to collaborate with a range of stakeholders in a culturally sensitive and inclusive way.
* The ability to influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders, some at senior level.
* Team player, being part of a values‑led and diverse team, where every individual plays a role in delivering Oxfam’s strategy, vision and cultural aspirations.
* Ability to navigate complexity and/or complex systems.
* Knowledge and understanding of the sector and trends in philanthropy.
* Willingness and ability to travel to in‑person donor meetings in the UK and potentially overseas.
