We are looking for a highly skilled Prep Chef with strong knife skills and cutting efficiency to join our kitchen team.
Job Responsibilities
* Precision Cutting & Knife Work: Perform fast and accurate cutting, slicing, dicing, and filleting of meats, seafood, and vegetables according to exact specifications.
* Ingredient Preparation: Handle high-volume prep work efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality.
* First Cooking: Assist in pre-cooking proteins, stocks, and sauces as required for service.
* Quality Control: Ensure all ingredients meet food safety, freshness, and portioning standards.
* Kitchen Efficiency: Maintain speed and accuracy to meet service demands in a high-pressure environment.
* Hygiene & Safety: Keep a clean workstation, follow food hygiene regulations, and store ingredients properly.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Prep Chef, Butcher, or in a similar role in a busy, high-volume kitchen.
* Exceptional knife skills with speed and precision in cutting, slicing, and portioning.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency.
* Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Right to work in the UK (You must have right to work in the UK).
