Job Duties:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies.
Assess and track students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed.
Create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
Stay up-to-date with curriculum changes and educational best practises in Humanities.
Required Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the United Kingdom.
Degree in a Humanities-related subject.
Proven experience teaching Humanities subjects at the secondary level.
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Humanities-related subject.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience teaching Humanities subjects at the secondary level.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, and Religious Studies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Effective classroom management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in Education or a Humanities-related field.
Experience using technology in the classroom to enhance learning.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position in a secondary school setting.
Regular hours with occasional evening or weekend work required for school events.
Collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
