We are recruiting on behalf of our client their first dedicated technology category lead.
This is a career-defining opportunity for a confident and proactive subject matter expert seeking the autonomy and flexibility to own and develop the end-to-end technology procurement strategy across a diverse £90mil spend portfolio.
We are seeking:
* Broad technology procurement experience encompassing hardware, software and services. Experience negotiating and managing international contracts with Tier 1 vendors is essential.
* A confident and proactive stakeholder manager, comfortable partnering with and educating the CTO and Technology SLT, advising and positioning procurement as an enabler to their business.
This is initially an individual contributor role and will work closely with the Global CPO on plans to further grow the teams headcount over the next 18-24 months.
You must be keen and eager to work in a transformational procurement environment, advancing the maturity of the function and identifying areas of impact to gain stakeholder buy-in and elevate procurements influence.
This is a hybrid working role based in Central Manchester with 3 days in the office, 2 days at home. Some ad-hoc international travel will be required.
Compensation is benchmarked at c. £60 - £80k + bonus and package.
