We are currently recruiting Manufacturing Engineers to support a customer with Electrical Planning and Work Instructions in a work package to build electrical products. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience and seniority. Sub‑contract labour or Staff positions are available for the right candidate. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high‑quality service to our client and is expected to be proactive and self‑motivated.
The Manufacturing Engineer will report directly to the Unit Delivery Leader (UDL) and will be based at the client office with remote working potentially available to the right candidate. Working within the ME team in our Aero Business Unit, you will join an experienced team and work on varied projects in high‑tech and future‑oriented industries, taking on exciting and responsible tasks according to your skills and knowledge, expanding your know‑how.
Responsibilities
* Compilation and update of Manufacturing Work Instructions & Route Cards
* Produce Engineering outputs to meet on‑target delivery dates and Quality requirements
* Ensure ‘Right First Time’ outputs are met in‑line with Business KPI’s
* Be involved with continuous improvement processes & offer improvement suggestions
* Interface with external stakeholders to understand technical issues / specifications
* Liaise with and support design and manufacturing supply chain
* Attend reviews (both internal and external) when required
* Work in accordance with the Expleo QMS and customer quality requirements
* Work closely with Operations to manage key product features throughout the build process
Qualifications
* Engineering degree, or equivalent, with proven practical Engineering & manufacturing knowledge and experience
* Candidates without accredited qualifications will be considered depending on experience
Essential Skills
* Experience using Wire Data Management System (WDMS)
* Proactive ‘Team Player’ with a focus on delivery and quality, capable of working autonomously
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong written and verbal communication; able to make sound technical judgements and appropriate decisions
* Very good knowledge of SAP and MS Office
* Assertive, independent, structured way of working with ability to adapt to multicultural environments
Experience
* Experience of Manufacturing Processes and Electrical standards
* Several years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
* Marine experience preferable; Aerospace & Automotive considered
* Proactive Team Player with a focus on delivery and quality
* Good communicator, professional during interactions with stakeholders
* Experience with 3D CAD systems such as SolidWorks, Catia, NX advantageous
