Legal Clerk (Education Team) – Permanent, 36.5 hours per week. Grade 2 – £24,796 – £26,824. Consultation grade – subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review.

The Education Legal Team advises on a broad range of education matters and supports School Admissions Appeals and Exclusions Review Services.
Responsibilities
* Using the case management system to produce correspondence, forms, court documents, maps and plans, and other documentation as required by the team.
* Creating content tables, graphs, spreadsheets, tracked changes and other word processor functions as required.
* Producing accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date legal documentation and court bundles under direction and to tight deadlines.
* Opening new legal case files, setting up initial documentation, and updating team spreadsheets with case outcomes; processing files for off-site storage as needed.
* Assisting with the progression of legal casework through administrative tasks.
* Monitoring files, sending out appointments, creating reminders and initiating documentation as directed by Fee Earners; complying with practice management standards.
* Processing and responding to routine communications (post, telephone, email); taking messages, copying, scanning and distributing information as necessary.
* Operating legal procedures including authentication and sealing of documents, producing case management reports, and assisting with routine processes such as invoice processing.
Qualifications & Experience
* Possess GCSE grade A-C or 4-9 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
* Proficiency in using IT systems with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet packages.
* Over 12 months’ experience in an administrative, secretarial or customer service role.
