Tutor Doctor is dedicated to improving outcomes for school aged children. Our Hull office is one of the fastest growing in the UK and is focused on working with schools and the local authorities to support students that are absent from the mainstream setting for whatever reason. Students can be vulnerable and disengaged from education, so relationship building and mentoring are key aspects to the tutor's role.
Tutors are required to provide daytime in-school or out-of-school education for children and young persons with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. These students are referred by local authorities and schools, often with Education Health Care Plans (EHCP) with learning or behavioural difficulties, at both primary and secondary level. As such, we are looking for tutors with previous experience working with such learners. An enhanced DBS will be required.
Tuition is primarily in maths, English, and science and your tutors are expected build trusting relationships with students, often mentoring and building confidence.
