Due to growth in volumes, a position as a Freight Forwarder – European Full Loads has become available at DSV Road Ltd, Purfleet.
The ideal candidate must be self-driven, results-oriented, with a positive outlook and a focus on high-quality work and profitability.
The successful candidate, reporting to the department supervisor, will be responsible for arranging full load shipments and helping to increase our full load volumes in the European and Eastern European markets.
This role involves operational, administrative, and commercial tasks.
Applicants should have good financial awareness, be organized and punctual, possess good knowledge of the road freight industry, and have experience in transport and sourcing one-way hauliers.

Main Purpose of the Job
To manage our import/export full load volumes using own trailers and subcontractors, collaborating with sales and other departments to grow the segment and find competitive solutions aligned with customer needs.
This includes quoting spot prices and tenders for medium and large clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Arrange full load transports across various modes—road, rail, short sea—and negotiate prices where no tariff exists to ensure cost efficiency.
* Use different trailers, including temperature-controlled and out-of-gauge equipment.
* Maintain high service levels within agreed schedules and customer requirements.
* Source haulage, negotiate rates, and assess subcontractors for compliance and legality.
* Coordinate with other DSV offices to generate new volumes.
* Communicate with drivers and hauliers to resolve issues promptly.
* Ensure compliance with legislation and operational procedures, including safety standards.
* Handle administrative tasks such as cost checks, creating CMRs, and effective communication with stakeholders.
* Plan collections and deliveries efficiently to meet customer needs, utilizing resources effectively.
* Follow transport and customs regulations to ensure statutory compliance.
