Frustrated by being limited in your current role, with there being a narrow vision and only limited room for growth and skill diversification?
You have the opportunity to use your previous knowledge of Java development while adding more strings to your bow. This isn’t a traditional DevOps role with a fixed scope and tech stack, in fact, you can come in and make it your own.
The company you’ll be joining is a market leader in location data. They collect and compile all available data relating to addresses in the UK, and provide this information to a variety of logistics companies such as DPD and Amazon, as well as the UK Government, local councils, and emergency services. They update over 2 million records every year and have recently embarked on a cloud migration journey of all of their infrastructure as a result of their growth and development.
Your responsibilities will include assisting the developers, creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing deployments, and bridging the gap both technically and relationally between the development and the infrastructure team.
This role gives you the chance to grow your depth of knowledge about Java development, as well as being able to add more DevOps strings to your bow. The upskilling potential in this role is unparalleled, and you’ll have access to mentoring in any new tech along the way.
As an ideal candidate, you’ll have a grasp of Java software development and an understanding of the processes involved, as well as be familiar with setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (can be with whichever tool), with a strong understanding of automation.
