About The Role
WGM Engineering, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Quality Advisor to join our HSEQ team on a permanent, full‑time basis. This role will be based in Glasgow and will benefit from hybrid working with 40% of your time in the office. You will support project delivery across WGM’s growing UK water‑sector portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Support the development and roll‑out of practical quality processes, procedures and templates across WGM projects.
* Create, review and improve project quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans, checklists, Non‑Conformance Reports/Records, handover packs, quality trackers and close‑out documentation.
* Work with project managers, engineers, site teams and supervisors to embed quality controls into live project delivery and mobilisation activity.
* Manage and support non‑conformance processes, including NCR recording, root‑cause investigation, corrective action planning, action tracking and close‑out.
* Analyse non‑conformances, quality issues, rework, environmental observations and recurring themes to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
* Prepare and present clear reports, findings and recommendations for the Quality & Environment Lead, operational leaders and senior stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
* Practical understanding of project quality controls such as Inspection and Test Plans, checklists, sign‑offs, completion records, handover documentation, Non‑Conformance Reports/Records and corrective action tracking.
* Demonstrable experience managing or supporting non‑conformance processes, including NCR recording, root‑cause investigation, corrective action planning and effective close‑out.
* Experience supporting the development, implementation or improvement of quality processes, procedures, templates or project documentation.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage, influence and constructively challenge project teams, operational leaders and senior stakeholders.
* Confidence analysing quality issues, root‑cause findings and recurring themes, with the ability to present clear trends, recommendations and improvement actions.
* Environmental awareness or practical exposure to areas such as waste, spill control, pollution prevention, site housekeeping, environmental observations, documentation or action tracking.
* Experience in quality, project delivery, engineering, construction, utilities, infrastructure, water, manufacturing, fabrication, MEICA or a similar operational environment would be helpful but is not essential.
Salary and Benefits
Salary from £41,000 plus a car allowance. Salary offered will be aligned to skills and experience demonstrated. Full salary banding available on request.
