Print Finishing Operational Experienced Technical Service Engineer
This role is only suitable for engineers with hands‑on operational experience of print finishing machinery. If you have not worked directly with print finishing equipment such as creasing, folding, binding, laminating, gluing or similar production machinery, this role will not be the right fit.
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our UK service team, supporting the installation, servicing, fault‑finding and repair of high‑end print finishing and packaging machinery. This is a hand’s‑on, field‑based engineering role working directly with customers across the UK, with occasional overseas travel. You will represent Encore Machinery on customer sites, build trusted long‑term relationships, and play a key role in keeping production environments running smoothly.
Minimum Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years hands‑on operational experience with print finishing machinery
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills gained within the print or packaging industry
* Comfortable working independently in live production environments
* Able to commute easily to Luton on a weekly basis
* Full clean UK driving licence
* Right to work in the UK. This is not a sponsored role and visas cannot be supported
Key Responsibilities
* Install, commission, service and repair print finishing and packaging machinery
* Provide on‑site and remote technical support to minimise customer downtime
* Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control related faults efficiently
* Train customer operators and internal teams on machine operation and maintenance
* Manage vehicle stock to support high first‑time fix rates
* Work closely with overseas manufacturers and suppliers
* Support sales activity through demonstrations, trade events and customer visits
