Conwy and Denbighshire's Education Services are seeking experienced education practitioners to join their Education Improvement Services to support and ensure the highest quality of education for all young people in Conwy and Denbighshire's secondary schools.
The role involves working with secondary leaders and staff to support leadership and teaching of science subjects across the 11-18 continuum. This includes planning for progression and science qualifications at KS4 and 5 across Conwy and Denbighshire.
This is a part-time fixed-term position to enhance the Education Improvement Service during an exciting period of transformation and development. The service is committed to providing bilingual support and challenge to improve the attainment and experience of all children and young people in our schools and settings. We look forward to welcoming experienced, innovative, and solution-focused colleagues to join the Service.
To be successful, you will possess the skills and expertise to lead and support relevant statutory and non-statutory aspects of education, ensuring that secondary schools receive high-quality support and challenge to make continued progress. You will work closely with schools, settings, stakeholders, and Local Authority officers to gather and share information, and to plan and deliver improvements that provide the best opportunities for children and young people in Conwy and Denbighshire.
Fluent communication in Welsh is essential for this post.
The position is paid on the Soulbury Education Improvement Professional scale. Applications are welcomed from experienced school leaders with a proven track record of managing education interventions to improve school performance, whether in a school setting or as a professional within a Local Authority or Regional Consortia.
