We are currently working with local authorities within Newcastle who are seeking additional tutoring support for their students in Maths, English and Science.
We are keen to hear from inspiring PGCE and QTS Teachers who are considering a career within education. Ideally you will have your DBS on the update service, or willing to acquire one.
Subjects include:
Primary: Numeracy and Literacy

Key responsibilities:
7. Creating lesson plans tailored to the student's learning style
8. Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting system
9. Deliver engaging sessions to support a range of learning styles
10. Drive measurable outcomes from each session to measure impact
11. Work collaboratively with educational/care stakeholders ensuring student support.
12. Working in accordance with the KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines.
Desired experience:
13. Experienced in tutoring one to one or small groups of pupils who require additional educational or pastoral support
14. Experience in taking supervision and correction constructively
15. Experience working in inclusion units, special settings or alternative provisions
16. Experience in working with students with SEN, children with undiagnosed SEN, disengaged young people or looked after children
Responsibilities:
17. Demonstrate academic competence in the subject area(s) and build a curriculum, creating lesson plans individual to the student's learning style
18. Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting system
19. Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic tasks
20. Assisting students in understanding key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom
21. Contribute to students' learning, growth and advancement
22. Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practice
23. Work collaboratively with schools, foster carers and social workers in order to ensure the student receives tailored support
24. Working in accordance with the KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines
Essential qualities:
25. Inspirational, effective & flexible communications skills
26. Competent IT skills, access to laptop/computer, audio and visual
27. Stable broadband & internet connection
28. Ability to develop meaningful relationships, encourage and motivate students.
