In this pivotal role, the Director of HR will oversee employee relations casework, support senior management in shaping the school’s culture, and ensure staff feel part of a warm and welcoming community. The HR team includes a Payroll Manager, HR Administrator, and a newly created HR & Payroll Officer position. Regular interaction with other support staff directors and academic leadership teams will be essential.

* Staff Development/Engagement: Manage performance and development needs of all staff.
* Staff Recruitment: Ensure compliance with employment law, Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance, and regulatory frameworks.

* Leadership of HR function and team
* All employee relations processes
* Gender Pay Gap Reporting: Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements.
* HR Policies and Procedures: Keep policies up to date with employment law and best practices.
* Offering HR support to all line managers
* Assisting with the culture and values proposition and delivery

Person Specification
* Minimum Level 5 CIPD qualification
* 2+ years of HR experience in a medium/large business, excellent knowledge of employment law, and strong IT Skills
* Previous line management experience
* Education experience is beneficial
* Ability to work onsite the majority of the time.
