1. The Department
The Academy Performance Analysis Department are responsible for the analysis provision for Players ranging from U9 – U21. The Department works collaboratively with Coaching staff to provide and deliver high quality analysis content through a variety of different methods to support the Academy Technical and Tactical programme.
The Academy Performance Analysis Department looks to maximise the skillsets of each individual staff member to enhance the content produced within each area of our delivery cycle and has an excellent track record of providing a platform for the development of Performance Analysts.
2. The Role
Working as a Senior Performance Analyst, you will be responsible for the U21 age groups analysis provision (pre, live, post, statistical, databases). You will provide U21 coaching staff and players with video, data and material to support the development of individual players, support the implementation of the playing style and their individual development plan.
You will support and supervise the delivery of analysis sessions by coaching staff to the team, units and individuals and work with age group coaching staff to ensure that any additional analysis requirements for individuals and teams are met.
In order to ensure there is a clear understanding and smooth pathway of analysis and best practice, you will also liaise and collaborate closely with the First Team.
* Responsible for the U21 age groups analysis provision (Pre, Opposition, Live, Post, Training, Stats, Databases)
* Provide U21 coaching staff and players with video, data and material that supports the development of individual players and their Individual Development Plan
* Provide staff and players with video, data and material that supports the implementation of the playing style
* Travelling with U21 age group
* Liaise and work with Professional Development Phase (PDP) individual development analyst to support the individual development
* Liaise and collaborate with First Team to ensure there is a clear understanding and a smooth pathway of analysis and best practice being implemented
* Support student/interns with their development
* Support and supervise the delivery of analysis sessions by coaching staff to the team, units and individuals
* Liaise and work with age group coaching staff to ensure any additional analysis requirements for individuals and teams are met
* Upload any required U21 footage to KitManLabs/Hudl and ensure players Individual and Best Practice playlists are up to date for the age groups you are working with
* Attend and contribute to any staff meeting/CPD and attend any relevant training requirements e.g., first aid, safeguarding etc
* Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities which your line manager or another senior manager at the club asks you to perform
* Demonstrate commitment to Safeguarding by adhering to relevant policies, procedures and values relating to safeguarding children and adults at risk

3. The Person
We are looking for a forward-thinking and proactive individual with a demonstrable knowledge of football and player development.
You must have a BSc in Performance Analysis, Sports Coaching, Sports Science or related qualification and UEFA C licence or a level 2 Coaching qualification and/or experience of playing football. You will need to be personable and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
You must have experience of working in Performance Analysis within a football environment, preferably, an elite youth football development environment.
You will need to be available to work flexibly including evenings and weekends as and when required.
Qualifications, Key Skills and Experience
* BSc Performance Analysis, Sports Coaching, Sports Science or related qualification
* Demonstrable knowledge of football and player development with a desire to work within youth development.
* UEFA C licence or Level 2 coaching qualification and/or experience of playing football
* Experience of working in Performance Analysis in a football environment
* Personable and able to work collaboratively with other members of the Analysis team, the wider Multi-Disciplinary team and other Departments across the Club
* Previous experience of using performance analysis software, preferably, Sportscode and other Hudl products.
* Proficient in the use of Mac iOS and Windows operating systems / software including; Keynote, Numbers, Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
* Flexible approach to work and willingness to work evenings and weekends when required
* Ability to work efficiently, diligently and to tight deadlines to meet the needs of the role
* Forward thinking and proactive around department and personal development
* MSc Degree in Coaching or Performance Analysis
* Experience of working within elite youth football development environment
* Experience of playing football in a professional or semi-professional capacity
* Full, UK Driving Licence
