Are you passionate about saving lives, shaping clinical practice, and inspiring others to deliver the very best care when it matters most? If so, this could be the role for you. We’re looking for an experienced, passionate resuscitation professional to join our small, dynamic and friendly multidisciplinary Resuscitation Department at HDFT. This is a role that blends clinical leadership, education, data analysis and staff support, with a direct impact on patient outcomes and workforce readiness across both acute and community services. “You’re not just delivering training – you’re improving safety, confidence and care across the whole Trust.” You will support colleagues before, during and after critical events through collaborative working, debriefing and learning, while also analysing 2222 data to identify learning, share insight and drive improvement. This is a demanding but rewarding post, offering autonomy, variation and the opportunity to influence practice at every level – all within a supportive team that values daily huddles, shared problem‑solving and support. This role is about making a difference where it matters most. As a Senior Resuscitation Officer, you will combine clinical expertise, education and insight to improve care across the Trust. Your key duties will include:
* Leading on the delivery of high-quality resuscitation training (adult, paediatric and newborn) across acute and community settings
* Attending 2222 calls in a leadership and/or advisory role
* Analysing data, identifying learning and sharing it with teams to drive improvement
* Supporting colleagues through debriefs and follow‑up after resuscitation events
* Contributing to audit, governance, policy development and digital transformation initiatives
* Working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to strengthen resuscitation practice and awareness
Support is central to how we work. You’ll be welcomed with a structured induction and development package with ongoing mentorship. Daily team huddles provide space to check in, prioritise workload and look out for one another, while a strong team culture ensures you are never facing the challenges of resuscitation work alone.
* A supportive culture so colleagues can bring their whole selves to work.
* Staff Recognition – as well as regular appraisals, we recognise achievements with our Making a Difference & Team of the Month Awards, along with annual Colleague Recognition Awards.
* Employee Support and wellbeing – we offer a wide range of staff benefits including an Employee Assistance Programme, counselling service and a fast-track Physiotherapy service.
