Job Titles: Senior Quality Engineer
Salary: Up to 47500
Hours: Monday to Thursday - 7:30am-4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am-2pm
Location: Near Annesley
Contracted hours: 40 per week
Holidays and Benefits: 33 days holiday, Xmas shut down, 7.5% pension, x4 salary death in service.
Overview
Working within modern purpose-built manufacturing facilities the Senior Quality Engineer will be working for a precision engineering business that manufactures components and fabrications for the aerospace, nuclear and defence industry.
Responsibilities
* Support the Quality Manager in maintaining certifications.
* Conduct product and system audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
* Compile documentation packs to support product delivery and traceability.
* Provide engineering support for Visual and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections.
* Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine quality standards.
* Apply First Article Inspection techniques in line with AS9102 requirements.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
* Use quality tools to detect, contain, and investigate non-conformances, ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented.
* Define and apply process control methods, including identifying critical control points and developing work instructions.
Ideal Candidate
* Experience with data collection and analysis.
* A strong background at implementing quality systems within a precision engineering environment – aerospace/machining/fabrication or similar.
* Experienced in Lean/problem solving techniques (8D), Kaizen.
* Knowledge of 6 Sigma process beneficial.
* Competent/capable of driving quality throughout a large business and manufacturer.
