Up to £38,000 + car allowance + strong bonus
About the Role:
A leading Tier 1 contractor is looking to appoint a Environmental Advisor to support a range of construction and infrastructure projects. This regional role will involve working closely with project teams from early design stages through to delivery, ensuring compliance, promoting environmental best practice, and driving continuous improvement across sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Support environmental planning during the preconstruction phase
Prepare project-specific documentation such as CEMPs and management plans for water, nuisance, and pollution control
Apply for environmental permits and liaise with regulatory bodies as required
Monitor environmental performance on-site and identify areas for improvement
Support site teams in implementing control measures for air, noise, water, and waste
Carry out site visits, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with legislation and internal standards
Lead or support investigations into environmental incidents and share lessons learned
Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to promote environmental standards
Deliver training sessions and support wider awareness campaigns
Contribute to the development of environmental materials, alerts, and regulatory updates
About You:
At least 1 year of experience in an environmental role, ideally within construction or infrastructure
Ideally Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related discipline
Knowledge of relevant UK environmental legislation and industry practices
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and support site teams
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
