Overview
Join Siemens Energy in Ulverston as a Production Planner, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our production operations' seamless and cost-effective flow. You will engage with various internal teams, including Customer Delivery, Logistics, Production, and Finance, to monitor ongoing activities and drive improvements. Your expertise will help us navigate the complexities of a busy manufacturing environment, making a significant impact on our operations and customer satisfaction.
How You’ll Make an Impact
* You will manage day-to-day manufacturing schedules, ensuring the timely processing of production orders and internal queries.
* Collaborate closely with supply chain management to optimise inventory and production flow.
* Review work-in-progress (WIP) demand through BOM and capacity analysis, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
* Define and control detailed manufacturing reports, ensuring on-time release and scheduling of work-in-progress.
* Utilise planning tools such as SAP and MRP controls to monitor safety stock and adapt to changing demands.
What You Bring
* Proven experience as a Production Planner with a strong understanding of production planning and quality control principles.
* Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems, particularly SAP, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools.
* Strong written and oral communication abilities complement excellent planning and organisational skills.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook, as well as Lean Management and Kanban methodologies.
* A solid understanding of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
