Job Overview
We are seeking a practical and skilled individual to join an existing furniture manufacturing team as a Carcaser in the Furniture Assembly Team. You will be fitting backs, plinths, front frames etc to existing carcases and working to a very high standard in each of these processes. This position requires familiarity with both hand tools and power tools, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build on their existing carpentry experience in a fast-paced production environment. All the furniture is made from scratch at our factory and built to the highest standard and finish. We use the best quality timber and materials and we therefore require and expect team members to work to a high standard.
Duties
* Making cabinet furniture using power and hand tools. Fitting front frames, plinths and internal drawer supports to carcases. Some preparation (cutting, machining and sanding) of timber components. Ensuring adherence at all times to our high quality standards.
* Support warehouse operations, including the organisation and movement of materials and finished goods.
* Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow throughout the production line.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health and safety regulations.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to production processes.
Experience
* Previous experience in a furniture manufacturing environment is essential.
* Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous, particularly in operating hand tools and power tools.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
