Rate:
£38.00 per hour (Umbrella) | £28.41 per hour (PAYE)
Hours:
35 hours across 4.5 days (flexible working between 7am–7pm)
About the Role
Morson is currently recruiting a
Process Performance Engineer (PPE)
to join the Manufacturing Engineering team at our Aerospace Manufacturing clients' site in Filton.
As a PPE, you will play a key role in
optimising industrial processes, improving efficiency, and reducing spent time per aircraft. Working within a multi-functional team, you'll design the best standard line balancing for production, analyse data, and drive process improvements on the shop floor.
This role offers the chance to build on your existing expertise while contributing to the
implementation of new technologies, digitalisation, and ethical design for manufacture .
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain
Standard Line Balancing (SLB)
and
PERT charts
to optimise production sequences.
Analyse production data to improve efficiency, reduce white space, and maximise CVAT performance.
Identify critical paths, station capacity, and constraints impacting production flow.
Drive process improvements, focusing on
time reduction, value-added analysis, and efficiency gains .
Share best practices across production lines and support pace control through SLB publication.
Lead performance reviews, monitor disruptions via PARETO analysis, and propose technical improvements.
What You'll Need
Essential Skills
Strong understanding of
aircraft product design, assembly, and processes
(particularly wing structures).
Solid experience with
SAP
and good overall IT skills (ideally Google G-Suite).
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Desirable Skills
Experience with
Export Control, Cyber Security, and Health & Safety legislation
in manufacturing.
Knowledge of
design software
such as Catia / 3DX.
Familiarity with
ICY, Key Characteristics, and Metrology .
Planning experience within SAP.
