Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Melton Mowbray (Commutable Distance)
£35,000 - £40,000 plus discount offerings, cycle to work scheme, private pension, access to a mental health support network and life assurance
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our growing team. Based within a commutable distance of Melton Mowbray, this role offers a mix of both static and mobile work, giving you the chance to develop a wide range of skills and experience across different environments.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is technically minded, eager to develop, and open to learning new skills – particularly within pipework installation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out mechanical fitting, assembly, installation and maintenance of equipment (pumps, valves etc.).
* Supporting projects both on-site (workshop) and across customer locations (mobile).
* Working with precision tools, machinery, and various materials.
* Learning and assisting with pipework installation and associated systems.
* Following health & safety standards and company procedures.
* Delivering high-quality workmanship with attention to detail.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar mechanical engineering role.
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and maintenance practices.
* Willingness to learn and develop pipework skills (full training provided).
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to travel locally when required.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Forklift Licence would be an advantage.
* Able to read and interpret process drawings.
