As a Contracts Manager, your primary responsibility will be overseeing the execution and management of maintenance development contracts. This role encompasses providing accurate quotations, acting as the primary point of contact for clients, managing a team, and ensuring the efficient handling of on-site tasks and projects. Regular communication with clients, report preparation, and participation in emergency response activities are essential components of this role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Team Management
* Lead and manage teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members to discuss performance, provide feedback, and address any concerns.
* Identify and utilise exceptional communicators and time managers within the team to enhance overall performance.
Quotations and Contracts
* Provide accurate and timely quotations for works.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding contract matters, ensuring clarity, compliance, and effective communication.
Task Coordination
* Monitor job progress and compliance with company policies through regular check-ins with the on-site team.
Reporting and Documentation
* Prepare detailed reports on staff performance, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Recruitment Assistance
* Engage with potential candidates, review CVs, and conduct interviews to assess suitability for on-site services roles.
Emergency Response
* Participate in an on-call rotation to address emergency works and urgent client needs outside regular hours.
New Starter Training
* Facilitate comprehensive onboarding and training for new employees, ensuring familiarity with company policies and job responsibilities.
Site Work
Administration Management
* Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks to support the efficient functioning of the on-site services department.
Subcontractor Management
* Coordinate with subcontractors to schedule works and ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
Training Qualifications
* Discuss and recommend relevant training qualifications and certifications for staff members to enhance their skills in line with industry standards.
Providing Advice to Team Members
* This Contracts Manager role demands strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills to effectively manage contracts, teams, and client relationships.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience in a managerial role in the construction industry.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for spreadsheet management.
* Familiarity with contract management principles and procedures.
